A Fun Fourth Weekend

Happy Monday, y'all! Have you heard of the saying "A Sunday well spent brings a week of content"? Well I believe that saying to be true and Will and I's weekend was so much fun! Because of the holiday, my office was closed on Friday so I was able to sleep in and get a few things done around the condo in the afternoon. Will had to work for a few hours, but we did go to Flying Biscuit Cafe beforehand, and when he was done working we were able to go out and celebrate the holiday Uptown in Charlotte! To say that everyone was Uptown would be a true understatement. It was PACKED and I have never seen so many people in one place in Charlotte...like ever. Despite the crowds, the weather couldn't have been more perfect.

Saturday morning Will and I woke up and went to Tupelo Honey with Will's sister before our friends Allison and Zane got to town. That afternoon and all through the night we celebrate our dear friends Ally and Chandler! I was so excited for their wedding day to finally arrive, and when it did, I could easily say that it ended up being one of the most heartfelt and most beautiful wedding I have ever been to. And I am not exaggerating one bit.
The ceremony took place at The Cathedral of Saint Patrick, followed by the reception at The Peninsula Club on Lake Norman. Both venues were decorated beautifully and it was really neat taking part in a Catholic wedding as this was my first! And how awesome is their hash tag: #tyingtheknox :)

Before heading to the reception itself, we had a bit of downtime so a group of us decided to go to Fahrenheit, which is a restaurant on the 21st floor of the Skye Condos. Hands down they have one heck of a view of Charlotte and the best milk and cookies which I highly recommend.

After our quick pit stop, we made our way to the reception where we were able to celebrate the new Mr. and Mrs. Knox! I had a blast getting to spend my holiday weekend with so many wonderful people, do some dancing, eat lot's of amazing food, take a ton of pictures and catch up with old friends. And on top of all of that, all of Will's favorite NC State soccer friends were at the wedding so we sat outside on the patio telling old stories and laughing at all the good times they had.
Saturday was here before we knew it and we had to say bye to our friends who had to head back home. After reflecting back on my weekend, I am reminded of how blessed I am. Blessed to have best friends and family that love me. Blessed to be able to dance and move and see and speak. Blessed in so many ways.
