5 on Friday

It's FRIDAY! The day we have all been looking forward to, at least I have :) Nothing get's me more excited then pushing through a week of hard work and then enjoying a relaxing and often times fun weekend. And with every Friday there is also one of my favorite link-ups, 5 on Friday.

ONE
Alyssa is here! I have been counting down they days until I got to hang out with this pretty girl again :) Yesterday Alyssa and I enjoyed dinner at Panera Bread and then ventured back to my condo for wine and Brain Games (a TV show on National Geographic that is pretty cool). We had such a great time just chatting away about our lives recently and enjoying much needed girl time. Alyssa is one of the strongest girls I know and is so encouraging, someone I am truly thankful for! Tonight when I get off work I have a list of options of things for us to do so stay tuned for Monday when I let you what we did with the rest of our time together!
TWO
Sponsorships. Two precious and sweet gals (Bailey Jean over at Anchored in Love Divine and Maeg from The Modern Tulip) contacted me about a week ago to swap buttons and I couldn't have been more excited to do so! I have been following these two bloggers from the very start and just adore how full of life they both are. It's been a joy for me personally to watch them live out their life full of grace and sophistication. Be sure to hop on over to their blogs when you have a few minutes to spare because you won't be disappointed in either of these two!

THREE
Blurb. Have you heard of it? I hadn't either until yesterday when Caitlyn from Home Sweet Ruby posted about it here. Basically, Blurb is a website that allows you to create and sell books of all kinds! Want to make a photo book? Easy enough. What about a wedding/engagement book? Sure! A recipe/cookbook? That option and so many more are available as well! See why I'm excited to have come across this site? The options are ENDLESS y'all! I can't wait to use this site for potential Christmas gifts (*cough* Mom know need to worry about having all of Grandma's recipes floating around on little pieces of folded paper anymore *cough*)!

FOUR
I have a lot of shoes. But I don't feel like I have ever really invested money into a really nice pair of boots that will actually LAST for many years. And so the search begins. I am in need of a classic brown leather boot. But there are so many choices and I just can't decide! What shade of brown do I want? What brand? Do I want a short boot or a tall boot? As of right now, these are some of my top picks. Which one is your favorite? And please give me any other suggestions you might have :)
Frye 'Melissa Button' Boot
Sam Edelman 'Penny' Boot
Cole Hann 'Wesley' tall Riding Boot
FIVE
Southern Weddings Magazine V6 it about to hit the stores! I can't hold my excitement in any longer! Even though I don't have a ring on my finger, nor have any reason to be planning a wedding just yet, I can't help but "oohhh" and "ahhh" at all the beautiful things in the magazine. And everything is centered around all things southern. So I already know I won't be let down by this soon to be purchase :) Here is a sneak peek of the cover...it's it perfect?
Well that's all I've got for you today sweet friends! I hope you take advantage of this glorious day and soak in every second of this weekend! I can't wait to check in later today to see what you all have planned for the next few days and look forward to chatting with y'all again on Monday! Until then...<3

  4. Blurb sounds awesome, I love the recipe/cookbook idea! What a cool gift! I've also been on the hunt to invest in a nice pair of brown leather boots. I've been dying over the Frye's, I love the Melissa and Carson, but the price.. ugh! I tried on the Penny boots at Nordstrom this week but they just didn't fit right which was a bummer! Gorgeous boot with a great price! Have a great weekend with your friend :)
