ONE- Words and kinds wishes have always meant more to me then gifts alone. And who doesn't get excited from receiving random text messages from some of the most important people in your life and on such a special day? Those messages have got to be some of the top things that I will hold close to my heart from my 25th birthday.
TWO-The day has finally come...I can now take GOOD photos! My parent's outdid themselves by gifting me with this little beauty and I couldn't have been more giddy and oh so appreciative; let's just say I was jumping up and down on the inside and have been practicing taking photos of every little thing that I see. YAYYYY :)
THREE- Will must know the way to my heart because he not only booked a trip for us to take the Butler Tour at the Biltmore, but surprised me with this b-e-a-utiful Kate Spade Secret Garden Necklace that I just absolutely adore and cannot wait to wear to an upcoming Christmas party we are going to attend!
After being spoiled celebrating my birthday and Thanksgiving (part one) with my family, it was time for Will and I to head to Pilot Mountain on Friday afternoon to spend the second half of our holiday with Will's family. Every time we go to visit Mary Lou (Will's Mom), we are always surrounded by so much love, amazing food and lot's of time spent outside or playing cards and boardgames (my favorite)! This visit was nothing less then all of that...
No trip is complete without a visit to one of Pilot Mountain's main Christmas attractions; Pilot Mountain Christmas Extravaganza! Y'all this place is legit. For you North Carolina folks, think of this place like you would Tanglewood Festival of Lights but at someone's HOUSE. Yes, you read that correctly. Larry and Rachel Charpiat are the sweet couple that have been running this one-of-a-kind Christmas display walk-through which has been making its appearance for over 47 years!
For free, you can wonder around four acres that are filled with every Christmas and holiday decoration that you can possibly think of, which comes out to over 500,000 lights...along with a Hot Chocolate stand, a talking Christmas tree, and an appearance from Santa himself.
So if you had to ask me, I had a wonderful past few days and couldn't think of any better way to have spent my time. All I can think about is how blessed I am and how I am so excited to see all the things I have to look forward to this December!
Oh! And don't forget to enter the Giveaway that I mentioned in this post which you have until Friday to enter! Crossing my fingers for one of my readers to win <3

ReplyDeleteSounds like you DID have a wonderful weekend. I just recently got a DSLR camera myself and it has been an adventure. There's SO much to learn and so many possibilities. It's a bit overwhelming but a ton of fun! I just borrowed a new 50mm lens from a friend and have been having fun with that.

Sounds like a pretty fantastic birthday, girlie! And I have the Rebel T3 (just a smidge different from the T3i) but I LOVE it! It's easy to navigate and pops out the prettiest pictures. Can't wait to see what you snap as 25 is sure to be your best year yet!

ReplyDeleteLove those Christmas lights, I love the Pilot Mountain area! I've never been on the Butler tour at Biltmore but I hear they take you to all these neat secret rooms. I asked my husband for a "big girl camera" for Christmas, I can't wait to finally have one!
