5 on Friday

Eekk!! It's Friday!!! I couldn't be more excited for today because in just a few short hours I will be making my way back to Georgia. This time I'm headed to Atlanta for my FIRST ever mini blogger conference! A few weeks ago I shared with you all that my sweet boyfriend gifted me with the ability to go to this conference by covering the costs as a gift to me for our four year dating anniversary that just so happens to be tomorrow :) I am excited to see what all I learn from this weekend and can't wait to see what all the good Lord has in store for me. Check back next week for a review on how everything went!
On another note, don't forget to enter the Good for the Soul Spring Giveaway! You have until Monday before a winner is picked and it could be YOU! So stop waiting and go enter now!! Visit the link here to be taken to the post I wrote which includes the Rafflecopter for you to enter.
Earlier this week I shared photos taken from the second photo shoot I have ever done. Ever! The first one I did was with one of my best friends, Caitlin last year while we were in Greenville, SC. Just so you know, I've have not always been comfortable behind the camera, but over the past few years I have become more accepting and comfortable with myself and have tried really hard to do a better job at not critiquing myself so harshly. Doesn't everyone seem to do a bad job at that? We are our own worst critiques right? And because I have a new fabulous camera I am trying to learn to operate, I want to start posting more photos of ME, along with some outfit posts here and there. So here is sneak peak of what's to come next week! I'm REALLY excited to share this look with y'all because it's one of my favorites!

Do you have clothes in your closet that you haven't worn in months? Maybe even years? Do what I did and try this out. After doing this, I had TWO bags full of clothes that I was able to give away!
Every January, I turn all of the hangers in my closet backwards, like this.  It takes about 60 seconds: Each time I wear an item, I hang it back up in the normal fashion, which takes zero effort to remember or do.  In June, any item that is still hanging backwards has not been worn in 6 months, and I usually donate it to Goodwill unless I can come up with a good reason to save it.
This quote has been on my mind this week and is something that I plan to work on for the month of May. I am all about making things happen and simplifying life in all the areas that I can.

  9. I am all about purging clothes...I've done it a ton over the last year, though, and sometimes find a go a little crazy and then regret some of thing things I get rid of, haha!

Thanks so much for taking the time to leave a comment! I will usually respond back to you via email (not here on the blog)...It's easier for me that way and hopefully it sparks a conversation for us! It makes me giddy that you're here and took the time to leave me a comment :)
